We have just returned from a weeks holiday in Cesenatico at the Hotel Smeraldo. What can I say? One of the best holidays we have ever had!
The hotel is a few minutes walk from the beach where there are umbrellas and sun beds available to the hotel guests and there are activities morning and afternoon, thanks to the great "animatori". The rooms are standard and very well furnished with en suite bathroom, and balcony and all the necessities from flat tv screen to safe, telephone and hairdryer and key card for security. The restaurant with its innovative "front cooking", provides a good choice of first and second courses and a buffet with both cooked and raw vegetables, fruit, ice cream and desserts. Breakfast is also a buffet and one is spoilt for choice.
The hotel is beautifully kept and the cleanliness is outstanding, wi-fi throughout the hotel and a car park nearby. The swimming pool area is 50 metres away, beautifully designed with three different pools for children, adults and a hydro massage pool in a private closed off area for hotel guests only.
The different activities held every evening both for children and adults are a great idea and the swimming pool party is fantastic.
I have to praise the owners and staff for being so kind and always available to help as well as for their innovative ideas in creating such a great atmosphere for their guests.
We loved this hotel so much we are trying to organize a few days to return in late August/early September.
A big thank you to Valentina in reception who had so much patience with me, answering my multitude of questions when making our reservations and thanks to all the staff who make this hotel so great!
